VENDOR REMINDERS
To help the Market continue to run smoothly, we would like to remind vendors of the following points from the Vendor Guidelines. We are doing our best to serve you and the community in providing a safe, enjoyable and profitable market. For additional information please refer to your Guidelines or talk to the Market Manager.
Vendor Responsibilities
Vendors must comply with state and local health and licensing requirements governing the sale of their products.
Vendors must comply with market guidelines and requests or loose the right to sell at our market.
Vendors will be asked to submit information about sales, and other aspects of marketing to assist us with market development and vending needs or opportunities
Vendors must have proper display and signage re: vendor name, address, product details and prices
Vendors must keep a safe, clean, attractive and well-signed stall; you must have a waste receptacle and clean your space at the close of each market.
Market Registration and Placement
Vendors must be registered and in location by 4 pm. For the purpose of safety, no vehicular movement in the market between 4:00 pm and dusk.
No sales until 4:00 pm or the manager designates market opening by ringing the market bell.
Application and membership does not guarantee a space in the market. Please call by Thursday to get on attendance list. Priority for spaces and market access will be given as follows:
1. Vendors — with Season Reservations
2. Members — choose their stall number as soon as they arrive and then get in line to register for the day
3. Non-members — (new vendors) will be given a stall space as available after Members have registered.
Product Guidelines
All products must be grown, collected or produced by the vendor or a registered Direct Agent, and properly designated.
Produce must be of high quality and priced according to market value. Seconds must be labeled and priced as such.
Food items must be stored and displayed at proper temperatures, above the ground on clean racks, tables or trucks
Vendor’s name and/or farm/business name must be displayed in the stall area. Clear labels, prices and product promotions are requested.
Produce vendors must have their scales certified by appropriate authorities prior to market, and paperwork to prove it
Prepared Edible Foods
All prepared foods must come from a licensed kitchen and presented in compliance with Umatilla Co. Health Dept. requirements; if prepared at the market a temporary restaurant license may be required.
Vendor applications must include copies of the kitchen license and food handler’s card, also kept on location for inspections and review as needed.
Cottage Crafts and other Items
Art and hand/cottage crafts must be made by vendor, or a designated Direct Agent. NO RESALE ITEMS ALLOWED.
